From an early age, Amanda found herself naturally drawn to supporting and listening to friends and family members who needed emotional guidance. This innate ability to empathize and provide comfort evolved into a passionate career in psychology.

Today, Amanda's mission extends beyond traditional psychological support - she is dedicated to ensuring that every individual has access to the best possible support options, regardless of their life circumstances. By combining her expertise in psychology with innovative approaches to creating supportive environments, Amanda helps clients develop comprehensive pathways to success.

Amanda Hawes is an AHPRA approved and endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist. She holds a Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology and has a high level of experience in supporting children and adolescents across all areas of their development, learning, psychosocial skills, and supports adolescents as they transition into their adult life. Amanda works with individuals up to the age of 21-years.

Amanda works closely with parents in supporting the development of their child or adolescent. Amanda has worked across a variety of settings, including schools, community support services and private practice.

Amanda has a warm, empathic, client centred approach and works from strong evidence-based therapy frameworks, including cognitive-behaviour therapy, attachment, positive psychology and trauma informed therapies. Amanda is passionate about understanding her client and taking the time to get to know and clarify the needs of her clients and their families.

Amanda has extensive training and experience in working with autistics. Amanda has experience in assessing and understanding the female profile of Autism. Amanda works effectively in supporting individuals, parents, and families, as well as provide a clear and positive pathway for support through allied health and school settings.

Amanda has extensive training in the administration, interpretation, and evaluation of educational and behavioural assessments. Amanda is passionate about formulating and implementing personalised and effective behaviour management plans and learning and support plans. Amanda works in conjunction with the client and family’s needs and directives, as well as the key stakeholders in a client’s life, including schools and the key professionals such as paediatricians, child psychiatrists, speech pathologists and occupational therapist.

Areas of assessment expertise across the lifespan cover Autism, ADHD, giftedness, intellectual disability, school readiness, non-verbal learning, memory, and specific learning disorders (reading, writing, spelling and mathematics).

Amanda’s goal is to create a positive pathway of support for her clients in order for them to reach their true potential.

Louise Allan

Psychologist (Registrar)

Louise holds a Master Degree in Educational & Developmental Psychology and is currently completing her Registrar Program. Louise is trained in child and adolescent counselling and provides support to women and families, as well as running the Circle of Security (COS) program.

Louise is qualified in assessments including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), as well as giftedness assessments. Louise completes assessments across all ages.
