Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a complex neurodevelopmental condition characterised by differences in social communication and repetitive behaviors. Autistic individuals may have unique ways of communicating, socialising, and processing the world around them. Autism presents in a wide range of symptoms and abilities, making each individual unique and references a spectrum of abilities. Early signs may include challenges in social interactions, difficulty with verbal and non-verbal communication, and a preference for routines.
Assessment, early intervention and a positive pathway for support have been identified to assist in building emotional understanding, social skill development, friendships and meaningful relationships, as well as assisting Autistics reach their goals in the community, with their employment and careers, as well as family life.

Child and adolescent Autism assessment
The Child and Adolescent Autism Assessment would be suitable for children from 3-years through to 16-years of age. The ADOS-2 is the gold standard tool primarily utilised.

The Adult Autism Assessment would be suitable for individuals aged 17-years and older.
